PARADEIGMA
“After a certain high level of technical skill is achieved, science and art tend to coalesce in aesthetics, plasticity, and form. The greatest scientists are always artists as well.”
Do we really need to go through fat history books to find the greatest architectural wonders? All we need to do is sit down and observe nature. Take the example of the humble beaver who builds dams out of unassuming logs and twigs, or an Eskimo, who builds a house using nothing but ice.
In a faceoff between man and animal, it would boil down to the most efficient use of available resources.
The Model Making event is an ode to man’s inherent creative aptitude.
Just as Michelangelo could see a work of art in a run of the mill slab of marble and transform it into a masterpiece, we expect our participants to channelize their innate creativity and craft out of mundane objects, an extremely functional and efficient product of their technical know-how.
